Klamath River Campground

Nestled along the bank of the wild and scenic Klamath River, the Klamath Campground offers a beautiful camping experience exclusively for our owners and their guests.

The Cottonwood Campground Area

Just on the outskirts of Hornbrook and not far from I-5, the Cottonwood Campground is an easily accessible and spacious location for owners and their guests to settle amongst the many trees. Comprised of 98 large campsites with electric/water hook-ups and an additional 37 primitive campsites, there is plenty of space for the exclusive use of owners and guests to relax, stretch, and stay a while.

The Stables

We love horses, and it shows.  Enjoy fully-equipped stables, an outdoor arena, a round pen, wash racks, barn, tack rooms, quarantine pens, several pastures, a boot room, miles of equestrian trails, and several ranch horses. You are welcome to bring your own horse to board during your stay, or ride one of the ranch string horses. We offer arena rides, wrangler-led trail rides, riding lessons, horse camps, and gymkhanas.  The Ranch provides boots, helmets, tack, and horses for our owners and their guests. For our more experienced riders, we offer the option to earn your trail card so that you can take the ranch horses out on the trails on your own. There is no additional charge for owners to ride the ranch horses on the trail or in the arena. Become an owner today so you can start horsing around with us!

The Gun Range

Located on Copco Road on the way to the Klamath Campground, the Gun Range offers several opportunities for the firearm enthusiast. There is a rifle/handgun range complete with covered shooting tables for target practice and sighting in your firearm. The trap shoot offers a fun activity for shotguns, and there is an area available for archers nearby. The gun range building offers a comfortable place for the non-shooters in your group to wait, and serves as the location for many Gun Range potluck meals.

The R-Ranch Vacation Homes

Headquarters

White pasture fences, a classic ranch entry arch, scenic hillside, and peacefully grazing horses welcome visitors to the Headquarters of the R-Ranch. Located just outside the town of Hornbrook, California, our Headquarters is where all official ranch business is conducted, and where you can purchase your R-Ranch souvenirs and/or ownership.

The Lodges

We have 3 separate lodges at the Ranch for our owners and their guests to enjoy. The Klamath River Lodge is a large lodge, perfect for ranch dinners and dances, or for owners to enjoy with family. The covered deck offers a shady place to relax while watching the river flow on by, and inside you will find a kitchen for owners to use, a fireplace, a TV, high speed wi-fi, a pool table, table tennis, and foosball. The Cottonwood Pool Lodge is a small lodge adjacent to our swimming pool with hot showers and a large kitchen for owner’s use. Bring your food, cook your dinner, and relax poolside while you enjoy your meal. The Pond Mini-Lodge is our smallest lodge. It is near the Stables and the Children’s Fishing Pond, and provides a cozy place to relax. Featuring a TV, pool table, air conditioning, and a fireplace, the Mini-Lodge is enjoyable year-round.

Hilltop Area

Our rustic line shacks house bunk beds, a dresser, and electricity inside, with a water spigot just outside the door. A bathhouse is located nearby with flush toilets and hot showers. The line-shacks offer impressive views of the ranch and surrounding country. Reservations are required, and you need to bring your own bedding and heater or fan. Bring your own camp kitchen, or plan on driving to the lodge to prepare your meals in the owners’ kitchen.
