To Our Valued Pardners,

Change is hard, and sometimes when one thing is changed it starts a chain reaction. We are sorry to announce that our General Manager, Heath Kauffman, has tendered his resignation effective immediately. He does not share the Board’s vision for the future, including the two-manager arrangement, so he has decided it is time to part ways. We very much appreciate all the time and dedication Heath has given the Ranch these past years as a former Board Member, as an employee, and as the General Manager. We also want to extend our appreciation to Tanya Kauffman for her service at R-Ranch as an employee and then as the Office Manager. The Board had previously laid Tanya off due to budget concerns. They both went above and beyond in their duties at R-Ranch, and we wish the Kauffmans the best in their future endeavors and look forward to seeing them around R-Ranch enjoying their time as Owners.

We have been reviewing applications and scheduling interviews for the Hospitality/Sales Manager position. We will work on securing or training a bookkeeper as soon as possible. We will be advertising for the other manager position soon. In the meantime the Board will be sharing the responsibility of serving as volunteer managers.

Please be patient and kind with the staff that remain. They are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Board at [email protected] or by contacting them individually at the email addresses posted online. The next Board Meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 31st at 6pm via Zoom. Owners are welcome to attend to ask questions, share concerns, or offer suggestions.

Please remember that R-Ranch has lost around 1,000 active Owners over the past decade. The downward trajectory was already happening before this Board was elected. If we continue to do things the way they have been done for the past 10 years, the downward spiral will continue. We have had several committees working to identify the challenges and suggest solutions. We are committed to making the changes necessary to ensure a bright future for R-Ranch. It has been here for 53 years, and we want it to be here providing wonderful memories for families for the next 53 years!  With a two-manager team in place the facilities and experience will be better than ever. With increased marketing and sales efforts we will be able to recruit the next generation of Owners to enjoy R-Ranch. We can do this, Pardners. We are R-Ranch strong!

Sincerely,

Your Board of Directors
