Introducing James Wheeler

Howdy Pardners,

We are pleased to announce that after reviewing resumes and conducting interviews we have found our new Operations Manager. His name is James Wheeler, and he will be starting full time by September. James has been an Owner for many years, has a background as a financial advisor, and experience as a firefighter, auto mechanic, salesperson, and handyman. He has been a business owner and managed up to 40 people. He has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, has a mind for business, and has displayed exceptional organizational skills. We believe that he has the perfect combination of experience and skills for this position and we can’t wait to see R-Ranch thrive under his leadership.

We are still searching for the perfect candidate for the Hospitality/Sales Manager. Unfortunately our first pick for the position had a change in family circumstances and had to withdraw her application. We are re-evaluating the 20 something resumes we already have and conducting more interviews. We may try flying the position again to see if we can get more applicants. It is very important to us to find a well-rounded candidate with excellent sales, management, and customer service abilities.

We are sorry to announce that Emilie Simmons has resigned from the Board. She has gone above and beyond as a Board Member and we are very grateful for all the time and effort she has poured into R-Ranch. She was willing to help us out a bit longer, however, in a new capacity. We are pleased to announce that Emilie has accepted a paid position as the Interim Hospitality Manager, buying us some much needed time to continue our search for the right person for the job. As the term “Interim” implies, this is only a very temporary position. Emilie informed us of her intention to resign well before we decided to offer her a position and only agreed to take the Interim position with the agreement that it will be very temporary and that she will only be at the Ranch part-time.

Please join us in welcoming our new Operations Manager and our Interim Hospitality Manager. We are excited to see all the positive changes that these two will bring about in the next few weeks.
