Gymkhana Rules and Entry Forms
- Every rider must fill out a Hold Harmless before they can ride in the gymkhana.
- Helmets must be worn by all riders 17 and under.
- All guests must wear a helmet.
- All riders must wear long pants and western boots.
- An adult must be present at all times for 17 and under participants.
- Horses must be WALKED except when in the arena.
- The score keeper’s decision is final! You may be moved into a different division according to your riding ability (string division).
- 11 and under division and beginner division may be coached with someone in the arena.
- Points will be awarded to each participant in the division. You will receive points 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc.
- Owners to qualify for year-end awards, you must compete in 3 gymkhanas in all the events. Points will be awarded to you for each gymkhana you participate in. The best 3 gymkhana points will count towards your year-end awards. We will give award to 3rd place in each division.
- Guests to qualify for year-end awards, you must compete in 3 gymkhanas in all events. Points will be awarded to you for each gymkhana you participate in. The best 3 gymkhana points will count towards your year-end awards. We will give award to 3rd place in each division.
- The Fun Event is worth 1 point.
- Owner Horse Division: owners who want to compete on one or more horse may do so, but points cannot be combined between horses.
- Owner Horse Division: all owners must carry equine liability insurance.
- Owner Horse Division : all owners must provide proof of vaccinations (5-way, West Nile)
- Minimum of 3 riders must compete in each division for a rider to qualify for year-end awards.
