R-RANCH AND COVID-19

By March 19, 2020 May 11th, 2020 Recent News

INFORMATION AS PER MAY 9, 2020 BOD MEETING REGARDING KLAMATH LODGE AND TV ROOM

Beginning Monday, May 11, 2020, the Klamath Lodge and TV Room at Headquarters will once again be open for owners to enjoy.  Please remember social distancing and keep the groups occupying either spot under 10 persons at one time. While you enjoy your time, please be mindful of other wanting to use the area and making time for others to also enjoy the space. Example: if a group is in the lodge playing pool and another group wants to use the lodge; let the pool players finish, wipe down the pool cues and table when you leave; work it out among yourselves.

With everyone’s help, we’ll make it through this “soft opening” of both areas.

R-Ranch and the Corona-virus

In talking with owners this past month, everyone has a different idea and/or concern about the virus and the closure.  We have done our best to follow guidelines set forth by the CDC, our governor and our county.  We have even stretched those guidelines so that our owners have been able to come and enjoy their ranch – sitting or walking by the river, hiking, riding quads and practicing social distancing.  We did have a few owners a little lax on their social distancing and we had some owners very conscientious about self-quarantining.

We have taken every measure to make sure families, staff, owners and our Hornbrook community is safe, while allowing owners to enjoy “Our “Ranch.

We have made some decisions on opening up the ranch, but we need owners help and cooperation to maintain safety and keep common areas (i.e. restrooms and laundry rooms) sanitized.

  1. GUESTS – this is a tough call and a fluid situation that can change very quickly. We will be opening up the opportunity to start bringing guests Thursday, May 21st – Memorial Day Weekend.  Please remember it is your responsibility as an owner to register not only yourself, but your guests and make sure guest fees are paid.  Also please remember you are responsible for your guests while they are on the ranch.
  2. STABLES – Friday, May 15th the stables will open for regular summer hours – Thursday through Monday, 6am to 2pm, three rides per day – limited to no more than 10 riders per ride. Our first gymkhana of the season, Saturday, May 23rd will go on as planned.  Unfortunately the May 10th Mother’s Day ride is cancelled.  We will be posting social distancing guidelines at the stables – i.e. how many and in which direction people can use the sign up and boot room.  We are also asking owners to help wranglers sanitize saddles and reins after their rides.
  3. GUN RANGE – the gun range has not been closed, we just extended the winter hours. Owners have been able to call in 24 hours in advance for a shoot.  We will be opening the gun range for Memorial Day Weekend – Thursday, May 21st through Monday, May 25th for all to enjoy.  We will be posting social distancing guidelines for the gun range.
  4. A-FRAME – the A-Frame will be open on Friday, May 22nd for owners to rent. We will be honoring previous reservations first.  Any owners that have reservation after this date and cannot make it please notify headquarters immediately.  Please call headquarters for availability.  We are asking owners to wipe down all surfaces with supplied sanitizing wipes as they leave.
  5. TV ROOM AND KLAMATH LODGE – When and how do we open these two commonly used rooms? Undecided. Do we still have an opening weekend celebration with a catered dinner and a live band? Undecided. A decision on our Memorial Day weekend dinner and dance will be made in the couple of weeks based on the state and county guidelines.

Please remember that our R-Ranch staff also has families, grandparents, spouses, and kids that they are concerned for and responsible for their well-being.  R-Ranch owners, you are responsible for the health and welfare of yourself as well as your families.
